History

Although there are many theories about origins of Ushi-Oni, according to Nihon Gaishi (“unofficial history in Japan”) written by Raisanyō in the 1880s,  it was inspired by a kind of war wagon called “Kitsu Kou Sha” which was used to conquer the Jinju castle in Korea during Japanese invasions of Korea in 1593.
