Overview
Hakone Daimyo Gyoretsu is an annual tourism event to reproduce the Daimyo procession at Hakone Yumoto Onsen in Hakone Town, Kanagawa Prefecture. Daimyo was powerful Japanese feudal lords who ruled most of Japan from their vast, hereditary land holdings.
Departing from Sounji Temple, a procession of 170 people dressed up as samurai warriors and princesses parades over a distance of some 6 km in the hot spring town towards Yumoto Fujiya Hotel.
